Produktbeschreibung
Excerpt from Eighth Report of the Secretary 1898-1902 Classmates: - The following report I hope may serve as a strengthening link in the chain of associations which binds the Class of ´72 together. The circular sent to you for its preparation contained the record printed in the last report, published four years ago, and called for such corrections as were needed. Many of the replies have contained such corrections, and nothing more. As the present report is intended, as announced in the circular, to contain only the events of our lives in the last four years, the corrections have been made in the class records, and additions only are given in the following pages, except in a few instances. This report, therefore, is naturally short, as most of us have reached a settled period, when, however strenuous our lives may be, the incidents and changes are few. I cannot forbear expressing my regret that this thirtieth anniversary finds so many too feeble to reply at all, and admire the modesty which has undoubtedly controlled many in replying "Nothing worth mentioning." It will be seen that only one child has been added to our descendants, Charles Greene Fessenden, while no grandchildren are reported. Our death rate has increased alarmingly, and in these short four years we have been called upon to mourn the loss of seven of our number: - Brickett, George Fiske, A. W.Gould, Hulme, E. B. Russell, Sullivan and Sinclair. Our bachelors are growing beautifully less, and I find that eighty-three percent, of the graduated members have been married.
