Excerpt from Catalogue of the Library of the Institution of Civil Engineers, 1895-1904 The present Catalogue, prepared by Mr. Bradley, the Superintendent of the Library, covers all additions during the ten years, 1895 to 1904 inclusive, and is supplementary to the Catalogue published in 1895. The headings accord with the plan adopted for that Catalogue. Non-official publications appear under the authors names as given on the respective title-pages; failing such names, under those of the places of which they treat; failing that, under the heading Anonymous. Official publications relating to particular places appear under such names; those of a general nature under the names of the countries or corporate bodies issuing them. Cross references are made under the names of the authors, when given. Geographical headings, under which several entries appear, have been subdivided according to subject. Indian names, as to which the orthography is doubtful, have been grouped under the heading India. Journals and periodicals are arranged in alphabetical order under the heading Periodical Publications. Societies appear under their respective names.
