Produktbeschreibung
Excerpt from University of Pennsylvania: Its History, Traditions, Buildings and Memorials; Also a Brief Guide to Philadelphia To acquaint students, alumni and visitors with the equipment and resources of the University of Pennsylvania, and to assist the students and friends of the University in escorting visitors through the institution, the editor prepared, in 1904, a pamphlet descriptive of the principal buildings and objects of interest, which was the first edition of this Guide Book. The subsequent editions were illustrated and greatly enlarged. The first four editions had issues of from five to twenty thousand copies. The editor acknowledges the assistance given him by various officials of the University, and also information and data collected from a number of reports and pamphlets. The scope of the work prevents more than a brief historical account and description of the Departments, but full information will be furnished by the Recorder´s Office on request; or those wishing information on the courses and various schools are referred to the general catalogue and departmental publications; and those desirous of looking up the historical development of the University are referred to the list of publications printed in this edition.
