If I had carried into execution my original intention of having a chapter under the head of "Unpopular Members," Mr. Richards would have been sure of a place in it. The instant he got on his legs, and before he had time to open his mouth, he was sure to be assailed with laughter, groans, and all sorts of zoological sounds.
