It is now thirty years since the first number of the "Annual Monitor and Memorandum Book" was published. Its aim was to supply, what the Editor deemed to be wanting, a "Pocket Book," adapted to the use of Friends, "the miscellaneous pieces being designed to contribute either to the moral or religious improvement of its readers."
