Produktbeschreibung
Excerpt from Ednah and Her Brothers Ednah had three brothers, but on rainy days, when they were all together in the house, it seemed sometimes as if she had six. The house was not nearly such an interesting place to play in as the great meadow, that stretched away to the distant river, where all sorts of boats, big and little, plied their busy way up and down the stream. A brook ran through the meadow, - a delightful little brook, so small that the children could step across it, and yet large enough for various kinds of boats, some of them very simple craft, in fact nothing but plain sticks, and others more elaborate, with miniature sails. There were hemlock-trees in the meadow, and some of these grew near the house. The children always called them Christmas trees. Ednah was the oldest of the family, although this does not mean that she had reached an advanced age, but only that the others were very young.
