Vilatte has taken so prominent a part, and which, independently of him, since his own public recantation and submission to the Holy See, continues to exist in two distinct and separate Polish factions, having their respective centres in Chicago, III., and in Buffalo, N. Y. The summary of facts and dates, which are here candidly presented as they came to the personal knowledge of the writer, will throw some fresh light upon the movements indicated above, and, as a contribution to the history of religious struggles in America, cannot fail to be of some practical value.
