The book contains an initial discussion of O´Neill´s personal life, including the destructive experiences with women: his mother, prostitutes, and his wives as well as their cumulative effects on his works and examines some plays of Eugene O´Neill in order to get its aims. It also concentrates on Eugene O´Neill´s plays from a feminist and social perspective. It also maintains that Literature is often a source of these social conventions and O´Neill writes with no premeditated purpose and his writings contain his impressions and experience which is called the social convention.
