When he saw the rows of rough carts with a clean, broad space between, for the animals making towards the market, he felt that for a man anxious to rise in the Force he had been transferred to the wrong district. On the footways, though groups stood thick, they never failed to make way for him. When he shouted, "Are yiz goin´ to block up the path all day?"
