This is proposed as the object of the following introductory remarks: and the first step in the process will be the guarding against fallacies, attached to the names by which the parties are distinguished. In regard to the Caivinists, it is here supposed that some of the doctrines usually passing under the name of Calvinistick were not sustained, at least in their subsequent extent, by the reformer.
