He has since been engaged on another, entitled Calendau, which came out in January last, and has been reviewed by the Paris press with perhaps equal praise, though certainly not the enthusiasm with which Miréio was greeted. The Revue des deux mondes of the 1st April of this year with reference to Miréio says: Our readers will not have forgotten the sensation excited by W. Frederic Mistral´s Miréio some eight years ago.
