H., November 28, 1785. Elected to Continental Congress in January, 1776. He signed the Declaration of Independence. As Brigadier-General of N. H. Troops he assisted in negotiating the terms of General Burgoyne´s surrender at Saratoga, N. Y., in 1777. He was Judge of the Superior Court. Presented by N. H. Sons of the Revolution, June, 1910.
