Excerpt from A Review of Dr. Pusey´s Eirenicon The following review contains the substance of two papers which originally appeared in the ´Weekly Register,´ and were afterwards reprinted. The first of the two letters from Dr. Pusey, which will be found in the Appendix, was addressed to that journal after the appearance of the earlier portion of the ´Review,´ which accounts for the subsequent references to it. In putting out a second edition of my ´Review,´ I wish to deprecate the charge of presumption that might be brought against me, if it were supposed that I had ventured on untrodden ground in the favourable view I have formed of the possibility or even reality of some kind of corporate movement towards reunion in the Anglican Church.
