As to Infallibility: she claims to be guided in all her deliberations by the presiding presence of the Holy Ghost. In what way this infallibility is proved to exist has never yet been made apparent; nor are the members of this Church agreed as to the locality or official organ of this Divine attribute. The claim is made, and that is sufficient. Her maxim is - Roma locuta est: causa finita est. II. As to Immutability: she claims to be absolutely unchangeable. She asserts that her doctrines and discipline have been the same always and everywhere. Her maxim and motto are - Semper eadem!
