Having no family of my own my - only child having died in infancy - my sympathies have been more particularly drawn out by and centred in those around me. Thus it has occurred to me that, with so many recollections of interest regarding others, I might find a fitting occupation (not always unmixed with pain) in committing some of these reminiscences to paper.
