Produktbeschreibung

Excerpt from The Lynn Review: Burrows Sanborn A Store in Boston near Dock square advertises wall papers extensively. A Lynn woman was attracted to the Boston store. She purchased fifty rolls of one kind of paper at ninety(90) cents per roll. She was "delighted" with her "bargain." It was $1. 10 paper marked down," the genial clerk remarked. When doing the work, with the paper the decision was arrived at "to do another room." And a Lynn wall paper man was visited, "as only a lowprice paper was desired," the woman remarked. She was shown some of the identical paper she bought in Boston at ninety cents per roll. Asking the price, she was told "fifty cents per roll," no "bargain" or "mark-down" sale. She purchased one roll, took it home and compared it with a roll she had remaining from the Boston lot. The paper bore the same trade marks and was identically of the same quality as that she secured in Boston. Does the city of Lynn possess rights that de-erve respect in connection with the work on the Broadway sewer in Wyoma? The lack of action here well demonstrates what a city has to suffer when executive officers are devoting their time and attention to "playing politics" Oh! for something like a business administration at City Hall. No reasonable person expects that city business will go on as economically as private work (it cannot where changes in heads so frequently occur), but there should certainy -t be at system. We solicit communications (short articles) on "Why Trade in Lynn?" "Do We Want Lower Flares to Boston?" "What It Means to Sustain Lynn Stores." "The Effect on Lynn Real Estate to Trade in Lynn." "What Can the Lynn Merchant´s Association or Lynn Board of Trade Do to Aid Lynn?" Or any other topic of interest to Lynn retailing. All accepted communications paid for. The publisher of The Lynn Review desires "object lessons," showing why it pays to trade in Lynn rather than in Boston stores. Cite all instances where you have secured in Lynn just as fine goods at as low a price as when trading in stores outside.
