Produktbeschreibung
Excerpt from A Series of Seven Sermons on the Doctrine of Holy Scripture and of the Church, of England Respecting the Sacrament of Baptism, the Rite of Confirmation and the Sacrament of the Lords Supper, in Their Mutual Relations: Preached in St. Mary´s Walthamstow, in View of the Confirmation of the Younger Members of the Church Residing in That Parish The Sermons contained in this volume were not composed with a view to publication. They are printed as they were addressed by the Author to his congregation. Should they, in their present form, minister to the benefit of any of those over whose spiritual interests he has watched, not without anxious and affectionate solicitude, for now more than eighteen years, his most earnest wish in thus submitting them to their perusal will be attained; but he is not without hope that the produce of the sale of them, the whole of which he cheerfully devotes to that object, may serve as the commencement of a fund to be expended both in promoting among the poorer members of one part of his flock, that infant education which these Discourses have incidentally but especially in view to enforce, and also in affording larger facilities for the work of the ministry in a district remote from the parish church.
