We find, on our return to England, that a great amount of ignorance prevails, even as to the size and situation of Servia. It is not a country that has hitherto excited much attention, or in modem times played any very important part in the history of the world, and even now it is, as it were, but a little episode in the midst of far greater records; yet the prominent part this little land took in the commencement of the present war - the part she may yet take in the struggle between Russia and Turkey - renders a better knowledge of this country of some importance.
