Furthermore, I have been emboldened to fancy that an intimacy of old standing with America and Americans has conduced to a more sympathetic understanding of the impressions that most England makes on our kinsmen from across the Atlantic, who form so important a feature in the tide of travel that sets annually to the banks of Avon.
