And one by one - like deep bells toll - I feel receding from my Soul Its molten gods, and idols vain, And in each vacant niche I know Is taking place, from out God´s train, One of His angel host... and so, My prostrate Soul lifts up its eyes And gazes into Paradise; Then goes again into the world, A soul as pure as soul can be, And with a new-born strength out-hurled Is evil...
