Excerpt from Correpsondences for Children of the New Church The following pages were first read to the Mount Vernon New Church Sabbath School, and are published in the hope that they may be generally useful. If they are adapted to the states of children, they will be read by them with more or less delight; and I would recommend that the attention be not called to the questions, till the first pleasures of reception are passing away, and the book is beginning to be an old one. The questions may then be useful in fixing the instruction which has been received in the memory. Should these "Correspondences" be found to be adapted to the states of children and the wants of the Church, I hope to be able to add some on other subjects.
