A gracious Providence has brought us together at a time when our State is signally favored in all those things which tend to elevate a people, and we should be ungrateful indeed, did we fail, on our assembling, to thank Him whose care has been so constant in the past, and to ask His continued blessing upon ourselves and the people we represent, in the future.
