One would not claim for the poems here presented that they have the depth of a Browning or the metrical perfection of a Tennyson; but I believe one can assert with reason that they are worthy of the attention of thoughtful readers. Immature many of them may be, but all are indicative of serious mood and elevated purpose. This seriousness of student thought is too little recognized or understood by the outside world.
