As men gaze, first at that, which, in popular parlance, is called "institutional religion," with its parish churches and cathedrals; then, at Jesus of Nazareth travelling on foot and preaching the Gospel to the poor, the question often arises: "Are there not here, in vivid contrast, two types of the Christian religion, which can never be reconciled?" In silent response, as it were, Gospel history holds up another contrast - Christ in Galilee and Christ at Jerusalem. These two types of religion are united in Christ´s own many-sided life.
