Mr. Gladstone asked that magazine kindly to allow the republication of the article, and it appeared in the Pall Mall Budget, London, then under Mr. Stead´s editorship, who christened it "The Gospel of Wealth." This was followed by a symposium in the Nineteenth Century, in which Mr. Gladstone, Cardinal Manning, Rev. Price Hughes, Rev. Dr. Hermann Adler and the writer participated.
