Excerpt from Proceedings Upon the Unveiling of the Statue of Baron Von Steuben: Major General and Inspector General in the Continental Army During the Revolutionary War in Washington, D, C., December 7, 1910 and Upon the Presentation of the Replica to His Majesty the German Emperor and the German Nation in Potsdam, September 2, 1911 Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That there shall be printed and bound in the form of eulogies, with accompanying illustrations, seventeen thousand one hundred copies of the proceedings upon the unveiling of the statue of Baron Von Steuben in Washington, December seventh, nineteen hundred and ten, of which five thousand shall be for the use of the Senate, ten thousand for the use of the House of Representatives, two thousand to be delivered to the National German-American Alliance for such distribution as said alliance may desire to make, and the remaining one hundred copies shall be bound in full morocco and distributed through the Department of State to the descendants of Baron Von Steuben and the speakers who took part in said celebration. House Concurrent Resolution No.39, Sixty-second Congress Passed, House, March 26, 1912; Senate, April 2, 1912 Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That the concurrent resolution passed August twenty-first, nineteen hundred and eleven, providing for the printing of the proceedings upon the unveiling of the statue of Baron Von Steuben in Washington, December seventh, nineteen hundred and ten, be amended by adding the following sentence after the last word thereof: "There shall be included in the same volume, as herein provided for, the proceedings relating to the unveiling of the statue of Baron Von Steuben in Berlin, September second, nineteen hundred and eleven; and this document shall be compiled and printed under the direction of the Joint Committee on Printing."
