It brings the movement down to the end of 1906; but does not undertake to describe the new order decreed by the General Conference and accomplished under the direction of the Commission on Consolidation of the Benevolences. The Missionary Society was divided, and on January 1, 1907, the Board of Foreign Missions became the lineal successor, the Home Mission interests going to the Board of Home Missions and Church Extension in Philadelphia. The Cause is one, though the administration is separated. The Church is entering upon a new epoch of world-wide endeavor and usefulness.
