Deeming it of great Importance that our Colonial History should be fully made known to the World, as the Province of New York was so long the principal Theatre of the Contests between the mother Country and France for the Possession of North America, this Volume has been printed at the Expense of the Publisher and myself in pursuance of an Arrangement made with the former by me.
