Excerpt from Public Acts, Paased by the General Assembly of the State of Connecticut: May Session, 1860 An Act in addition to "An Act relating to the General Assembly." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. That all bills for private acts which shall have been passed by both houses of the general assembly, shall be engrossed and recorded, in the same manner as is provided for engrossing and recording bills for public acts by "An Act in addition to an Act relating to the General Assembly," approved May 24th, 1859. Sec. 2. It shall be the duty of the committee on engrossed bills to make careful examination of all engrossed bills for private acts, and on finding them to be correct, in all particulars, to cause the dates of their final passage to be entered thereon, by the clerks of the two houses, respectively, and immediately thereafter to return such bills to the secretary of state, for transmission to the governor.
