The reader, therefore, will be indulgent, should he meet with imperfections, and marks of hasty writing. Had I opportunity, I should most probably have been a little more careful in the dress of these bantlings of my Muse; but, as it is, I must trust to the hope that some good feature of theirs will prevail on the critic to pardon the occasional negligence of their attire.
