But for several reasons it finally appeared advisable to follow the plan which has been used, giving the text of the Act in an Appendix, with frequent reference to it. This involves some repetition, but not enough to materially increase the size of the book. The Negotiable Instruments Act has now been adopted in a great majority of the States, and this has given such uniformity to the law that a book of this sort gains more value than it might otherwise have.
