The aim of the author has been to collect and arrange the various statutes and cases relating to those petitions which may be presented in the Chancery Division and in Lunacy; and, as such a collection, the work may claim to be fairly exhaustive. The author has further endeavoured to show when petitions will lie, what should be their form, and what the practice respecting them.
