Dear Sir, - The members of the Lawrence Light Guard of this town, believing that the Address delivered by you upon the occasion of the consecration of the Soldiers´ Monument, in Oak-Grove Cemetery, contains great and eloquently expressed truths, which ought to be more widely disseminated than the passing occasion of oral delivery would permit, have conferred upon the undersigned the agreeable duty of requesting that you will furnish the same for publication.
