Theodore Gaillard: One of the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas, and Formerly a Chancellor of South Carolina, Delivered, Agreeably to Appointment, in St. Michael´s Church, May 19, 1829 Dear Sir, Agreeably to the request of several Gentlemen of the Bar, who were at the meeting which appointed yon to deliver an Eulogy upon the late Judge Gaillard, I beg the favour of you to furnish a copy of your just and eloquent remarks for publication. In being the organ of their request upon this subject, permit me at the same time to add that it will be a source of great gratification to me to peruse what so much delighted me at the hearing.
