So far from this being the case, it is only by special favour one can obtain permission to hunt large game in "The Great Thirst Land." And, lastly, I would say that with moderate expenditure and half a dozen attendants I will pass through Africa from south to north, and probably not take more than a year to do it. My method is simplicity itself, and would probably not involve the death of a human being. The modus operandi, however, will only be imparted to those desirous to assist me in the undertaking.
