Produktbeschreibung

Excerpt from A Summary of Contracts to Sell and Sales of Personal Property at Common Law: With References to the Uniform Sales Act Definitions. - "Sale, ..., is a transmutation of property from one man to another in consideration of some price or recompense in value." (2 Blackstone´s Com. 446.) "A sale is a contract for the transfer of property from one person to another, for a valuable consideration." (2 Kent´s Com. 468.) "A sale is a transfer of the absolute title to property for a certain agreed price. It is a contract between two parties, one of whom acquires thereby a property in the thing sold, and the other parts with it for a valuable consideration." (Story on Sales, § 1.) " Sale is a word of precise legal import both at law and in equity. It means at all times, a contract between parties, to give and to pass rights of property for money, - which the buyer pays or promises to pay to the seller for the thing bought and sold." (Williamson v. Berry, 8 How. 495, 544.) "A contract of sale of goods is a contract whereby the seller transfers or agrees to transfer the property in goods to the buyer for a money consideration, called the price... "Where under a contract of sale the property in the goods is transferred from the seller to the buyer the contract is called a sale; but where the transfer of the property in the goods is to take place at a future time or subject to some condition thereafter to be fulfilled the contract is called an agreement to sell." (Sale of Goods Act, § 1.) About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
