In this work Scenes are exhibited showing the folly and wickedness of false Religion, - an account is also given of the rise and progress of most of the benevolent institutions which distinguish the present age. In making the selection, care has been taken, to consult the most approved authorities, and in some instances, extracts from different authors have been made in their own words. - The engraving which accompanies each scene, it is believed, will be of utility, in making the work interesting, and of fixing the facts more firmly in the mind.
