I have published more than five hundred Sonnets in the Miltonic, and the true Guittonian form - besides a few showing structural innovations - and I have written, but not published, a large number of others. The task of creating this amount of Poetry, couched in that most intricate and difficult of forms can be adequately appreciated only by those who have attempted the work, and who have succeeded in doing it.
