The French edition was condemned by the laws in France, and had its funeral oration pronounced by M. Seguier, and was then publicly burnt by the common hangman. In the original edition, issued in England in 1789, all the names were left blank. We have filled in these names in almost every instance; but in cases where they still are left blank, they are so in both the French and English editions.
