His boyhood reminds one forcibly of that of St. John Berchmans. His life in the Sulpitian Seminary is very attractive for the amiable but unyielding exactness with which every rule was observed, and the description of his work as a college prefect and teacher of the lower classes sketches a period which, as far as I know, has never been touched in other biographies of the Society.
