With amber fingers to his temple pressed, Half hid within his flowing hair, white as The camlet´s silken fleece for winter clothed; With left hand resting on his sturdy staff, Unbarked, deep, knotted, curved about the top. He sat and forward leaned, mute as the stones That pillared up the granite hall, with eyes Bent on the vale below, where ran a stream With shimmering light that fleck the willow boughs That gently swayed as fanned the evening breeze.
