Philip has become interested in Margaret Spencer, an English nurse, but her heart has been given long ago to an English officer, David Manners, who disappeared in disgrace after a court-martial. A wounded soldier hero brought to the hospital proves to be Manners. Sally will make no move to bring David and Margaret together, but Henri Martin, a French soldier, decides to perform "first aid" to the lovers. Through him Margaret recognizes David. All her old love for him is rekindled. Philip turns to Sally for consolation. "I guess I need a little treatment myself."
