Produktbeschreibung
Excerpt from War´s Aftermath: A Preliminary Study of the Eugenics of War; As Illustrated by the Civil War of the United States and the Late Wars in the Balkans In the summer of 1912, the undersigned, under the auspices of the World Peace Foundation, made an attempt to form some measure of the effects, on the Southern State of our National Union, of the reversed selection due to the loss of life in the Civil War of fifty years ago. In this work he was associated with Professor Edward Benjamin Krehbiel, of the chair of Modern History in Stanford University, and with the Professor Harvey E. Jordan, of the chair of Histology and Embryology in the University of Virginia. Professor Krehbiel devoted himself to the historical and statistical phases of the subject, while Professor Jordan and the writer considered chiefly the biological elements, especially those related to eugenics and race progress.
