Some twelve years ago, a visit to Carlsbad and Franzensbrunn renovated me for a while; - why not take advantage of this forced absence from my own paradise, and try the effect again? That which was on Monday only an idea, on Thursday had assumed a certain definite aspect; - on Friday it was a serious consideration, - on Saturday a passion, and I desired my servant would get me a passport.
