His answer is, that while he hopes the work may be generally useful, there is a considerable class of Christians in America, with whom he has some influence, that are very little acquainted with books of this description; added to which, he is afraid that he shall neglect his duty to the lovely object of this Memoir, if he misimproves this opportunity of making her virtues known. He has long contemplated publishing a brief memoir of her history, but feelings of delicacy have hitherto prevented him.
