Produktbeschreibung

Excerpt from Humanism in New England Theology The Essay here published appeared originally in the Harvard Theological Review, April, 1907. For permission to republish it sincere thanks are extended to the editors of the Review. The title has been changed from "The Collapse of the New England Theology," to "Humanism in New England Theology," because the former title indicated only the passing of a historic system of thought, while indicating not at all the permanent ideas in that system. For the purposes of the article it seemed best to take the title from Dr. Foster´s book, then under review. The new title emphasizes what the writer conceives to be the fundamental principle of every attempt to interpret the mystery of the Infinite.
